Mr. Njack Kane
Founder and Chairman, Intervalle Group
Njack Kane was born in Mauritania to Mauritanian and Senegalese parents. His international upbringing and education in Geneva, Switzerland, culminating in a Political Science degree from the University of Geneva, shaped a worldview rooted in leadership, diplomacy, and economic development.
With over 25 years of experience in commodities trading, Njack began his career at Continental Grain Company, later serving in senior roles at Glencore International and Ascot Commodities. In 1999, he co-founded Novel Commodities SA, a globally recognized trading firm with a strong footprint in West Africa.
Today, as head of the Intervalle Group, he leads transformative food production and agricultural development projects across Africa, with a focus on full value chains and public-private partnerships (PPPs). His leadership has garnered the support of public and private partners, development finance institutions, and foundations such as Grow Africa, The John A. Kufuor Foundation and The Joseph N. Boakai Foundation.
A passionate advocate for African self-sufficiency and a believer in the continent’s vast potential, Mr. Kane serves on the boards of the Winds of Hope Foundation and the MEF Endowment Fund. He is also a firm supporter of youth employment, agricultural transformation, and inclusive economic growth.
